Freestyle Music Park Keeps Faith With Jackson Tribute

Following millions of others who are paying tribute to the late King of Pop, Freestyle Music Park has set up a memorial of its own. The family-friendly musical theme park hosted a weekend of Michael Jackson tributes , including a memorial wall outside the park’s gates where fans were able to leave notes and write their thoughts, NBC’s affiliate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., reported . Freestyle also let fans leave flowers, candles and Michael Jackson memorabilia at the site.

AIG Bankruptcy Contemplated in Feds Emails To Davis Polk

Emails between Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP bankruptcy attorneys and federal officials became the subject of a Fox Business story that showed the government considered allowing insurance giant American International Group to fall into bankruptcy even after it received more than $100 billion of taxpayer dollars. The emails obtained by the network showed that U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve officials corresponded with prominent attorneys Marshall Huebner and Ethan James in January and February to discuss “bankruptcy options” for AIG

The Associated Press reports via BusinessWeek that Bernard Madoff is due in court Monday to hear sentencing for running a massive Ponzi scheme, and both he and victims are expected to speak at the sentencing. And Madoff’s trustee, Irving Picard, has recovered just a fraction of investors’ losses since 1995, but he still has a lot of ground to cover, according to The Wall Street Journal . It’s going to be a challenge for GM’s Saturn unit to recover from its slump, though it is set to be sold to a new owner later in the year, WSJ reports .
